Morty & Bob’s has three eateries across London. It’s kind of its own thing, so we just call it an all-day spot to grab a pastry, brunch, lunch, dinner, bar snacks, coffee, a fresh juice, cocktail, wine, a pint… or all the above. Make sense? The vibe is relaxed and friendly, the offering is comfort food with great drinks. The influence is American/European, but truth be told, the real influence is delicious food & drinks made with love…
…and yes our famous Grilled Cheese is on every menu.
BUT WHO ARE MORTY & BOB ?
Morty and Bob are the Grandfathers of M&B founder, Charlie (left). After the war, Bob (centre) was a fruit and veg buyer at the Old Spitalfields Market and Morty (right) owned a restaurant in downtown Montreal. Morty and Bob are the hardworking inspiration behind it all for Chef Grandson Charlie, who created the famous M&B Grilled Cheese street food stall in East London’s Netil Market. In 2015 Morty and Bob’s expanded their menu into a Brunch and Lunch Café by opening their first brick and mortar in London Fields followed by a flagship all-day Restaurant, Café and Bar in Coal Drops Yard. 2019 also saw the opening of Morty’s all-day hot food counter in Westfield White City’s Food Court. All sites still serve the original Grilled Cheese recipe plus all day snacks and large plates, exceptional coffee and a London suppliers focused bar.
